Welcome to our family of AKC, health tested golden retrievers located in Iron Station, NC. Our goldens make fantastic pets as well as working dogs! We currently have dogs excelling as valued family members, agility, hunt test, and come from parent dogs who do dock diving, and even therapy work. We have had a golden in our lives since 2011. Our dogs are always part of our family, in our home every day. In our, hopefully, near future, we will work with a couple of co-own homes to ensure we keep our dogs out of kennels and in family homes!Our dogs go through significant health testing, & DNA panels, to ensure their OFA certifications, and to give our dogs the best possibly healthy lives. We follow the Golden Retriever Code of Ethics with our testing guidelines. All of our dogs are registered with AKC.
Where it all began…
We knew we wanted to breed dark golden retrievers when we purchased Luna for our daughter who was 6 and our then 2-year-old son. We had recently lost our sweet chocolate lab, and our house was too empty. We knew the best family dog was a golden retriever and we were always fond of them. And then we found Luna. Everyone fell in love with her, and we knew one day, we wanted to have one of her puppies to keep for our growing family as well, because she was just the most amazing dog! Our dogs are raised right here in our home and are a big part of our family.
While we have mostly puppies who have gone on to be amazing family members and companions to other families, some are also excelling in training for obedience and others for duck hunting! They can be fantastic hunting dogs, with lots of bird drive and are quick learners.
We strive to breed for a healthy pet but also for temperament and trainability. All our dogs come from lines with good health clearances and pedigrees. We specialize in breeding dark golden retrievers. Our dogs are going to weigh in the range of about 55 lbs to 80 lbs. Dogs we bred with have both straight coats and curly coats, as well as white spots on the chest and/or head and paws. We cannot guarantee any shade or darkness in color.

We kindly remind our puppy parents that we do not grant breeding rights for our puppies. Our breeding program is meticulously curated to ensure our red retrievers uphold our high standards of quality and temperament. Therefore, we maintain exclusive rights to breed within our dogs’ lineage.
We understand the joy and enthusiasm of owning a beautiful puppy, but we ask for your respect of our decision to keep our breeding program exclusive. Our primary goal is to produce healthy, happy, and well-rounded puppies, and controlling the breeding process is vital to achieving this.
